A hardy perennial that likes to have “wet feet” (a marsh plant that thrives in wetter soils and can tolerate clay well). Also known as “Gravel Root” due to its herbal medicine uses for kidney stones. A beautiful addition of summer blooms to any pollinator garden. We like planting as a companion for boneset, its sister plant that also grows in wet areas.
Spacing: 8”-12” apart.
First planting: March indoor seeding. Late April-May outdoor seeding / divisions.
