Indeterminate. Succulent, rich flavour, smooth perfect texture. This heirloom variety is a close sister of the Cherokee Purple tomato, which was initially grown by the Cherokee. Cherokee Purple became available in seed catalogues in the 1990s after a farmer in Tennessee grew them out. The Cherokee Chocolate was a "sport" or spontaneous mutation from that variety.
