Also known as New England Asters but being native to North America we prefer the name Purple Asters. Late blooming clusters of star-like flowers give colour to gardens in fall. Fantastic for attracting pollinators. Low maintenance and easy to grow.

First planting: March indoor seeding, late April-May transplants outside.
Last planting: fall transplant.
Bloom time: late summer - fall (August-October).
Light: prefers full sun.
Watering: drought tolerant.
Soil: best in dry, well-drained soil.
